Hear the difference

Two recordings, one French sentence: the catalogue voice most platforms rent, then ours. You don’t need to speak French to tell which one belongs here.

Two voices, one sentence

Generic catalogue voice
The VoiceX voice

« Bonjour! Vous êtes bien à la Clinique Sainte-Foy. Voulez-vous prendre un rendez-vous cette semaine? »

The sample is in French on purpose — it’s what your French-speaking callers hear. The first clip is the kind of stock voice most platforms rent from a US voice bank; the second is the Québécois voice we built and own.

Your French-speaking customers can tell

If you serve French-speaking customers — a Montréal storefront, an Ottawa practice with Gatineau clients, a Toronto clinic with Franco-Ontarian patients — the voice on your phone line is the first impression they get. Most voice-agent platforms rent their French from American voice catalogues, where “standard French” means Paris (observed July 15–16, 2026). To a caller from Trois-Rivières, that voice sounds like a long-distance call. Ours sounds like the neighbours.

That authenticity is the point: a caller who trusts the voice asks their real question, leaves their real number, books the appointment instead of hanging up and dialing your competitor.

The English side is not an afterthought

Thousands of Canadian businesses answer in both languages every day, and the agent was built for exactly that: a warm, natural English voice on one side, real Québécois French on the other. When a caller switches languages mid-sentence, the agent follows — same call, no transfer, no menu. Both of your clienteles get a receptionist who sounds like she actually works there.

And because we own our voices rather than renting them, nobody else decides what they sound like — or what they’ll cost tomorrow.

Signature Voice: sound like no one else

Signature Voice is for owners who want their line to be instantly recognizable. For $49 a month on any plan — full details on the pricing page — we design a custom voice with your team, and it stays exclusively yours: no other business will ever answer with it.

There’s a second reason to choose it. Signature Voice is our sovereign option: pick it, and speech synthesis runs entirely on servers VoiceX operates in Canada. If Law 25 or data residency is part of your decision, the Law 25 page traces exactly where your callers’ voices go.

Questions about the voice

Does it speak Canadian French and English?

Yes — both, in the same call. If a caller starts in English and switches to French mid-sentence, the agent follows without missing a beat: no transfers, no “press 9” menus. The French is genuinely Québécois, not a Parisian stock voice, and the English sounds like Canada, not a call-centre script. Listen to the samples and judge for yourself.

Will it understand my callers’ accents?

Yes — and that’s why it never relies on a single ear. Every sentence your caller says is transcribed by more than one engine, and the agent keeps the reading that makes sense in the conversation. When it’s unsure about a word that matters, it asks a quick question instead of guessing; a name it didn’t catch, it asks for. And callers can type a phone number on their keypad instead of saying it — no room for mix-ups.

How does it actually work?

Your customer dials your number as usual. As they speak, their voice is transcribed live — by more than one engine at once, so the words that matter come through. A language model, guided by your business information and your rules, decides what to say or do: book an appointment, take a message, transfer the call. The answer is then spoken aloud in the voice you picked. It all happens during the call, one exchange at a time, like any conversation.

How does the agent learn about my business?

Give it your website address and a few basics: your hours, your services, what to do with calls it can’t handle. From there, it drafts its own setup — how it greets callers, what it knows about you, the rules it follows. You read it over, fix anything that’s off, and you’re live. New service, holiday hours, a price change? Edit it in your portal and the next calls reflect it.

What if a caller wants to talk to a real person?

They don’t have to fight for it. If you’ve set a transfer number — your cell, the front desk, a colleague — the agent puts the call through as soon as they ask. If nobody picks up, or you’d rather not be interrupted, it takes a complete message: name, number, reason for calling. You can get every message by text, plus an email when a call needs your attention, and the full call stays in your portal.
